Why Recycled Plastic?

Good for the Environment

We don’t usually think of plastic as environmentally friendly, but recycled plastic is different.

Recycled plastic uses material that would

otherwise end up in landfill or an incinerator.

The more demand for products, the less

material is wasted and the less land is needed

for landfill.

Recycling plastic into products that would

otherwise use newly created plastics can save, on

average, two tonnes of CO2 for every tonne of

plastic recycled.

Recycling plastic means that less oil is used in

plastic production.

Recycled plastic can be recycled again and again. So, using recycled plastic now means that we are safeguarding precious resources for the future.

Good for Gardeners

Recycled plastic is a great material for creating garden structures, even in the organic garden.

It doesn’t rot, splinter or crack.

Recycled plastic lasts much longer than timber.

Maintenance-free, it requires no preservatives

and does not leach chemicals into the soil.
