English ivy is a traditional favourite plant. The leaves are a green-grey with a white outside margin. Due to their special roots they can attach to walls and trellis, or provide ground cover. You can also let the plant simply cascade from the hanging basket the plant comes with, creating shade in patioed areas or covering a balcony. English Ivy can endure full sun to shade, and when the plant is mature it can grow pale yellow-green blooms in the Summertime. This plant can also be trained for topiary.
