Dwarf Cherry Tree - Lapins



The lapins Cherry tree is a large dark red juicy cherry with a mild sweet and sharp flavour, which will appeal to those who like cherries but prefer a milder flavour. Lapins is self-fertile. The fruit is large and of good quality and it crops reliably.


Strengths and gardening tips:


  • Only really suitable for growing in warmer parts of the UK because blossom first appears on average in the second to third week of April (pollination group 2 to 3).

  • The fruits of Lapins are produced mid-season, ready for eating, on average, in the second week of July

  • Fruits are of larger than average size. They are dark red and have a sweet flavour.

  • The picking period is ten days.

  • This variety reliably produces an good amount of fruit.

  • Disease resistance is average and good for fruit splitting.

  • Lapins is self-fertile and does not need pollination partner to produce fruit.

  • It is fully hardy in all parts of the UK Awarded a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit in 2014.
